Frequently asked questions
Voice commands or voice follow don't work.
Make sure Microphone and (on iPhone) Speech Recognition are allowed for Talkue in your phone's settings. Remember to say “Prompter” before a command. Voice commands currently understand English and Turkish; if the app is in another language, say them in English. If your phone doesn't support speech recognition in the chosen language, the app will tell you.
The text stops by itself.
Your script may contain a [PAUSE] marker; scrolling stops there, so tap to continue. With voice follow on, the text also stops when you stop talking, which is intended. At the end of the script, reading finishes by itself.
The control panel disappeared.
The panel hides while reading and in recording mode. Long-press the screen to open it. If you closed it with the ⌄ button, it comes back the same way.
My video isn't in Photos.
Talkue asks for permission to save videos to Photos. If you didn't allow it, set Talkue's Photos access to “Add Photos Only” or wider in your phone's settings. Very short recordings may not be saved; record for at least a few seconds.
In camera mode the text looks far from the camera.
In landscape the strip sits against the edge where the camera is. If it's on the wrong side, hold the phone upright once and turn it again. On a tripod, try the “At the top” layout with the Strip button in the panel.
My Bluetooth remote doesn't work.
Pair the remote in your phone's Bluetooth settings. Ring remotes act like a touchscreen: up/down scroll the text, the middle button starts and pauses. If your remote has several modes, switch it to scroll mode.
How do I move my scripts to a new phone?
Scripts are stored only on your phone. Restoring your phone backup (iCloud or Google backup) on the new phone brings them along. You can also keep important scripts as .txt files and bring them in with “Import file”.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Talkue → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Google Play → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Talkue → Cancel.
You keep access until the end of the current period. Cancelling during the free trial means you're not charged.
My subscription isn't showing.
Tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with.
The app asks me to restart after choosing Arabic.
Switching to a right-to-left language needs the whole layout to be rebuilt. Close the app completely and open it again.
